I'm Still dehydrating even as I write--Mango roll-ups and mixed fruit slices! And I just bought a BUNCH more frozen veggies on sale to throw on the trays whenever these are done.

I can not tell you how lucky I was to find this site. I LOVE IT! I'm in the process of moving so I can't get my fingers into this just yet. It's driving me crazy!!! I'm up at night, dreaming of the possibilities! Thank you so much for hosting such a wonderful concept to storing food.

I am so glad to have found you ! After 6 yrs of being sick and going to Mayo clinic , no ones knew what was wrong - turns out I am allergic to GMO foods! Pretty much anything but whole foods has GMO - so if I buy organic and cautious ... dehydrate then I can have good food all year. Thank you for your site!
You make me believe in dehydrateed food again. In the past I have not had the best of luck with dehydrating food, but then I only had the round one with the heating coil in the bottom. The apples I dried didn't even turn out well. But you have inspired me to try again only with a different dehydrator. Maybe an Excalibur, if I'm the lucky winner.

I have another type of dehydrator with the heater on the bottom. I'm determined to make do until I find the better type at a yard sale next summer! (unless I'm the lucky winner....)

I just discovered your videos on Friday. I have watched all of the 10 part series and am so excited to try dehydrating our garden produce that I wish it was summer, LOL! I have dried a very few things and have not been at all happy with the results. I think it is because of the dehydrator that I am using, it never seems to be the same or dry properly. It was a yard sale find and I just really wanted to try dehydrating some peppers and fruit leathers for the kids. But the results were not satisfactory and so I abandonded the idea. But after watching your videos I am inspired!! I will have to save for an Excalibur, well that is if I don't win, but I think it will be the best possible solution to preserving our harvest. Plus I look forward to it being a bit easier, I get so exhausted during canning season since I have chronic fatigue syndrome/ fibromyalgia. Maybe this year I won't be a worn out mess at the end of summer! I can hardly wait!! Thanks so much for doing this!
I just watched all of your videos on youtube , you make it look so easly. I have just started food storage and dehydrating is something I want to include. As a matter of fact my husband was watching your videos (over my shoulder) and said "lets get a dehydrator". Hi Tammy, I too has been dehydrating alot. First looking an reading. It didn't make since to me but now It does an love it. That is putting up you garden. At least if we have another bad storm like Katrina, will have lots of food this time. Happy Hollidays and Merry Christmas.
