How to Dehydrate Mint:

Dehydrated mint leaves are a great addition to your pantry. These are great to grind and add to ground tea leaves (see photo below) to make your own handmade teas. With a dehydrator you can make a large variety of delicious teas to fit your palate and your desired health benefit! You can also gift them to others for an inexpensive but heartfelt and unique seasonal present!

I also like to finely grind mint leaves and add to skin lotion to soothe and cool the skin and muscles!

Instructions:

  • Rinse leaves and gently pat dry
  • Spread evenly on dehydrator tray and dehydrate at 90 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8-10 hours.
  • Store in a Mason jar with oxygen pack. You can also store in a vacuum and Mylar bag for later use but the leaves will crush somewhat with this method.

Dryness Check:

Properly dehydrated mint leaves will feel dry to the touch and be easily crushed in your hands. If yours do not feel this way, just put them back in the dehydrator for a couple more hours!
