How to Dehydrate Peaches:

Dehydrated peaches are an excellent fast and tasty snack! Eat them as is for a sweet on-the-go snack that won’t spoil, put them in yogurt for a healthier sweet alternative to sugar, or blend into a powder to use in smoothies, baked desserts, or protein shakes!

These are delicious, healthy, lightweight, and filling! The cubed peaches are especially easy to carry and allow for a chewy burst of sweet and juicy peach flavor. You can’t beat this on-the-go sweet treat – It has 80% less calories than gummy bears! I keep them in my gym bag for a quick energy boost.

They will last many years if stored properly. Store in a jar with oxygen pack, or vacuum sealed bag. Keep out of direct sunlight.

Instructions:

  • Horizontally slice into 1/8 inch slices or 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch cubes
  • Evenly spread on your dehydrator tray.
  • Coat evenly with a thin coat of lemon juice. For ease, hold the tray over the sink and use a lemon juice bottle with spray cap.
  • Dehydrate at 125 degrees Fahrenheit for 8-12 hours.
  • Store in a vacuum and Mylar bag for later use in recipes, or eat as is!

Dryness Check:

A properly dehydrated peach chip will feel dry and not sticky to the touch. They will also be somewhat malleable and can be torn in half but not crumbled. Peach cubes will feel dry to the touch and not sticky, and will be chewy. If yours do not feel this way, just put them back in the dehydrator for a few more hours!
