Dehydrated spinach is a must have in your food storage! Spinach goes bad quickly, but dehydrated and sealed lasts for years. Use in soups and stews, rehydrate in rice, or just add boiling water and eat with a pinch if salt. I love to use dehydrated spinach with banana, mango, and peanut butter or other ingredients in my morning smoothie! Just add water and blend! I never throw out wilted veggies anymore!
These will last many years if stored properly.
Instructions:
Rinse and pat dry.
Spread evenly on dehydrator tray.
Dehydrate at 125 degrees Fahrenheit for about 8 hours.
Properly dehydrated spinach will feel dry and have no dark and damp spots. It will easily crumble in your hands. If yours do not feel this way, just put them back in the dehydrator for a few more hours!
Other Tips:
You can also grind your dehydrated spinach to dried spinach flakes to use for seasoning!
